Pros and cons of iFish Alberta app for iPhone and iPad

iFish Alberta app good for

Love the proximity search option. Now no matter where I am I can find a fishing spot!
Apps great. Gives you all the info you need to land that lunker youve been wishing for.
I have this app for a number years now and reference it often. Very helpful. Getting better with each update!
Every year I rely on iFish Alberta’s ice reports. Saves me time and gas. Hot spots land me more fish!
If you enjoy fishing in Alberta this app should be part of your tackle box. Works great. Awesome app.
What can I say, its a damn good app - you wont be disappointed.

Some bad moments

This app is great for easy access to info on lakes and insight from people who have been there. I dont like that you have to pay more (already the most expensive app Ive bought) if you want rivers and streams, or to be able to put your own hotspots/keep a log. Some things Id also like to see; access to satellite photos, and bathymetric surveys.
Just dropped I hunt, no updates so now stuck with 2014 regs. Will do the same for this probably also once the take your money
Bought the app, the Alberta version says"rivers and lakes" NOPE! You have to buy the river version. Plus, I put in Browns and a 125klm radio us of Calgary, got 4 listings???? Ill go to settings, my account in ITunes and get a refund. Too bad, this could have been a useful app.
Expensive for a poorly supported app. They do not answer any support emails! If you update to the newest regs your species photos no longer work and you have to reload the app again. Tried to purchase the Value bundle for 2 days when it was 8.99 and it just gave me an error, then miraculously the price jumps to 10.99 and it worked. Dont waste your money for such poor support.
App is not very user friendly. The fact they want you to pay double to have streams and rivers is ridiculous. The only reason I bought it was for the rivers and streams and now have to pay again is garbage.
Species reference shows no picture......how often is this app updated?
